Balanced Living is a private practice by design, which allows us to provide highly personalized, flexible care without insurance limitations. This means longer sessions, individualized treatment plans, and a focus on what truly matters to you.

Balanced Living primarily serves the Albany Capital Region and surrounding areas in Upstate New York. For clients located outside of a 15-mile radius from Albany, a travel fee of $0.70 per mile will apply to cover transportation costs. We strive to make our services accessible and will provide a detailed breakdown of any additional charges when scheduling your appointment.

No, a referral is not required for private pay OT services. However, some insurances companies may require one for reimbursement.

Yes, we provide OT services on a contracted or consultative basis and are separate from district-employed special education services. Services depend on location, student needs, and contractual agreements

Specialized evaluation and treatment for dizziness, vertigo, balance challenges, and fall risk. Care is provided by advanced-trained clinicians with a focus on symptom relief, stability, and getting back to everyday activities without fear.Wound Care & Ostomy Support (Contracted Nursing Services)
Compassionate, in-home nursing care to support healing, education and confidence with wound and ostomy management so you can feel informed, empowered, and supported at home.School-Based and Pediatric Services
Support for children and adolescents across the home, school, and community settings. Services may address regulation, transitions, sensory processing, executive functioning, fine motor skills, and participation in daily routines, with collaboration across families and educational teams.

The cost of services depends on the specific therapy program and session duration. Please contact directly for a consultation, and we can provide detailed pricing based on your needs.

We accept credit/debit cards, and other secure online payment options. Please contact support at jaycee@balancedlivingot.com if you have questions.

Depending on your individual insurance plan, our services may be eligible for reimbursement. Insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Please note that Payment is due at the time of service.
We're happy to support you by providing all necessary documentation (superbill) for filing your claim.
Appointments & Scheduling

We require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations are subject to 50% fee of scheduled service.

If you are running more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule or shorten your session. Please contact us as soon as possible.

We provide in-home services in the Capital Region within 15 miles radius. After 15 miles, there is a $0.70 charge per mile.

Session lengths vary based on individual needs and therapist discretion. They can be as long as needed or requested to ensure the best possible care.

Yes, we understand that some clients may have unique schedules. We offer flexible appointment times, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate your availability. Please reach out to us to discuss scheduling options that work best for you

What should I expect in my first session?
Your first OT session includes an evaluation, goal-setting, and personalized treatment planning. Wellness sessions focus on assessing your lifestyle and creating actionable strategies for improvement.
